This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use our Service. By creating an account and using Traffic Magnet, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect

Account information
- Your name and email address when you register for an account
- Password (stored in hashed form — we never store it in plain text)
Service data
- Domain names you add to your account for monitoring
- Keywords you choose to track
- Google OAuth access and refresh tokens, used solely to fetch your Google Search Console data on your behalf — we do not retain raw GSC data beyond what is needed to display your dashboard
Billing information
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV or full payment details on our servers
- We retain billing records (plan name, amount, transaction date) for accounting purposes
Usage and technical data
- IP address, browser type and operating system
- Pages visited and features used within the Service
- Date and time of access
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate and maintain the Service
- Deliver your weekly SEO report email every Monday morning, summarising keyword movements and recommended actions
- Process your subscription and send billing receipts and invoices
- Respond to support enquiries and account-related requests
- Monitor and improve the reliability and performance of the Service
- Comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Traffic Magnet relies on the following trusted third-party services to deliver the Service. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle data passed to them:
- Google — OAuth 2.0 authentication and Google Search Console API / PageSpeed Insights API access (policies.google.com/privacy)
- Stripe — Subscription billing and payment processing (stripe.com/au/privacy)
- DataForSEO — Keyword rank data retrieval (dataforseo.com/privacy-policy)
- Supabase — Database storage and authentication infrastructure (supabase.com/privacy)
- Resend — Transactional email delivery for weekly digests and account notifications (resend.com/privacy)
- Vercel — Website hosting and serverless infrastructure (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers maintain appropriate data security standards. However, their use of your data is subject to their respective privacy policies.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service.
If you delete your account:
- Your account information, domain data, tracked keywords and ranking history will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Google OAuth tokens are revoked at the time of account deletion
- Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required under Australian accounting and taxation law
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing info@trafficmagnet.com.au.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Specifically:
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
- Data at rest is encrypted by our hosting and database providers
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Australian Privacy Act Compliance
Traffic Magnet is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This includes your right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, subject to limited exceptions
- Request correction of inaccurate, out-of-date or incomplete personal information
- Make a complaint if you believe we have breached the APPs
